Greenland’s Ice Cap Melting

North-Eastern Advertiser Tuesday 18 November 1930GreenlandMelt1930

It is now definitely established that Greenland’s ice cap is disappearing. The ice has melted down 8 feet in the last year.

The entire disappearance of this ice-cap would probably open all the polar regions to settlements, as it is this this ice cap that now profoundly effects the climate of the Arctic and North Temperate zones. http://trove.nla.gov.au/ndp/del/article/151159556
